Who we are
VinaSeaLife is a dedicated portal for marine biodiversity in Vietnam, operated by AquaBio4.0 – a leading marine research group at Nha Trang University. Our mission is to bridge the gap between advanced genetic science and conservation practice by building a transparent, modern, and accessible data ecosystem.
This portal serves as a key outcome of the VINIF.2022.DA00021 research project, funded by the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VinIF), and implemented in collaboration with our esteemed partners: the University of Science (VNU-HCM), the Institute of Oceanography, the Northern Research Center for Marine Fisheries (NRCMF), Southern Research Center for Marine Fisheries (SMCRF), and the Smithsonian Institution (USA).
Through VinaSeaLife, the AquaBio4.0 group strives to share our findings in DNA metabarcoding and barcoding for the early life stages of marine fish (eggs, larvae, and juveniles), and connect to the adult stages. We are committed to providing high-quality, reliable scientific data to enhance the understanding of marine biodiversity, support sustainable fisheries management, and inspire the next generation of marine scientists in Vietnam.
